III. FAQs
Why can't I find the page I've added in the wiki table of contents?
You can try the following
  1. Confirm that you've added the page to the wiki space you're on. Open the page and its location can be found in the upper-left corner.
  1. If you've upgraded to the new version of the Lark Docs homepage (Sidebar contains Drive and My Document Library), confirm that you're on the wiki space to which you've added the page. Click the wiki space name or icon to switch the sidebar to the current wiki table of contents.
Why can't I create a new page?
If you can't find the + icon to create a new page or if the document format buttons are gray after you click the + icon, a wiki space administrator may have restricted creating pages to only administrators. For details, see Modify wiki space security settings.
What types of files can I add shortcuts for?
You can add shortcuts for documents, spreadsheets, mindnotes, bases, and uploaded files for which you have view, edit, or manage permissions. You can't add shortcuts for folders.
Why can't I preview the uploaded file?
Files up to 10 GB can be uploaded to a page, but file size limits for previewing vary. For details, see Size limits for uploading and previewing files in Drive.
If the shortcut of Document A is added to Wiki B, will all members of Wiki B automatically have view permission for Document A?
No. Members without view permission for Document A can apply for permission through the shortcut of Document A.
If the shortcut of Document A is added to Wiki B and Document A is deleted, can users still access the content of Document A from the shortcut?
No.
If I create or add a document to Wiki and do not configure any permissions, will the document be visible to the creator (me) only?
No. The document you create or add to Wiki, even if the creator did not share it with anyone, is visible to wiki space administrators and members by default.
Wiki space administrators have manage permissions for all pages in the wiki space, and this setting cannot be modified. Wiki space members have edit or view permissions for all pages by default, but you can restrict wiki space members from viewing your pages.
How can I prevent wiki space members from viewing a page?
Wiki space administrators, the page owner, and collaborators with manage permissions for the page can click Share > owner's profile photo. On the Manage collaborators panel, change wiki space members' permission to No access and wiki space members will no longer be able to access the page.
Can folders be added to a wiki space?
No.
Can I directly add a dashboard from a base to a wiki space?
No. However, you can create a new document in the wiki space first, and then share the dashboard to the document to add a Base dashboard to a page in the wiki space.
